Today I prepare to go to the Monet In Normandy show in Raleigh with 2 artist friends. I am excited to have the opportunity to be able to see the brushwork, the actual colors, of the master himself. I love the energy, the Joie de Vivre of his work. I am so grateful! I hope the spirit of Monet will swoop down and provide inspiration and fresh energy!

I felt like that before I went to the Yoshitoshi Supernatural exhibition at the Asian Art Museum in S.F. Live art of any genre has living energy which gets communicated. I saw a woodblock print of a boy on a red carp that was so beautiful it pierced my heart.
